Last night I was lucky enough to win one of Tiny trinkets 2000 fan giveaways for a martini glass candle with a charm. (Picture below)

I was so ecstatic! Until some petty person wrote they were unliking their page because of me! Their exact words? "I have to unlike you sorry, blame Holly Uhler" Well if it's because I won there's not much I can say.... If it's because of me personally all I can say is... They deal mostly in Charms and beads and with every first order they even include a leather bracelet to keep your charms on! If you don't want leather they also have a section where you can buy an upgrade to a silver bracelet for a very reasonable fee!

Jewelry In Candles Review

OK, so the next candle on the review list is Jewelry In Candles. Please don't confuse it with Jewelry Candles, they are their own company and have no affiliation. That being said, I would like to note that though I enjoyed the candles I recieved, one of which was an accident but contained an 18k gold ring with diamonds I personally would like to see them change the name. If for no other reason than as is they risk having Jewelry Candles cause them problems because they HAVE trademarked their name. Thats all I will say on their name. I'm just here to evaluate their Candles on Quality. It's my mission to give you honest reviews and make my fans aware that they have options. The review:

I loved how fast I got the product. Honestly when I evaluate a lot of these candle companies there is quite a wait involved because they pour to order and don't always have stock available. As I previously mentioned I received two candles because of a shipping error, when I sent them an email to tell them I had received someone else's candle they told me to keep and and enjoy. That was very generous and nice of them. Unfortunately it was a scent I despise, Lavender  Now it had nothing to do with their scent personally it's simply that I do not like it. If you, however, like the scent of lavender I encourage you to try it. I burned it in my laundry room and could still smell it in my living room. That's quite a distance for one small candle to be able to throw a scent, so as far as scent and throw goes I really can't report a complaint on anything.
                                     

The Candle I ordered I loved. I got the Black Cherry and it was nice and strong. It smelled exactly as you would expect it to and I loved it. Both rings I received in the candles were real as well. The 18k from the Lavender is worth about $250 retail. The other has a fake stone but it was set in 925 silver and the band is very durable so I'd venture to guess about a $30-$40 range. They also offer for you to select a ring size which is wonderful. I do suggest ordering a ring 1 size larger than you really are as both the size 8 I ordered and the size 9 the other person had ordered were a size smaller than what it said.

I really enjoyed this candle and have very little negativity about them. My first wick was a bit floppy but I know how to fix that. (extinguish candle and mold it straight using the melted wax, repeat this several times as the wax cools if needed than just let it cool completely before relighting that fixes it) but the lavender wick was fine. Beyond the wick issue there was only one thing I was not completely pleased with and that was the way the melted wax looked. I don't know if it was a weird batch or if it's how it always is but the melted wax looked somewhere between a normal soy and a jelly jar wax. It didn't effect the sent in anyway, it's just an aesthetic preference. All in all I'd give this company a solid 7 out of 10, a rating that would go up expedentially by fixing the issue with the name I listed in the beginning. I would definitely consider buying more from them, especially once their scent list is expanded.

Last week I received and had the opportunity to review a new candle companies candles. LoveLee's Candles is a fabulous soy candle with jewelry I have had the pleasure of testing and must say , so far she is doing fabulous. I am writing an additional review because I ordered a Tri-Level Candle and the jewelry was only one scent in so here's the breakdown:

My Prize

She is just beginning, so she can't afford yet to have really big ticket jewelry. What she does do is guarantee a minimum value of $30.00. She also guarantees the jewelry to be real (silver, gold etc) up to $250.00. Now, yes that's no $5,000 ring (Though she did tell me she is hoping to be able to expand the value range higher VERY soon) but honestly, I'd rather have a piece I know isn't going to turn me green.

This is very generous. Really, if you think about it, you're buying for a surprise piece of Jewelry and getting a free candle since, unless you get the layered candles you are actually paying the price of the minimum jewelry value or less! And hey, to layer it you pay a whole 5 dollars! This is just epic.

Now onto the scents and to wrap this up! I ordered a Tri-Level, I had pictures of it when I opened it but they seemed to have corrupted so I cannot post them. This upset me since it was very pretty, BUT, you can see my unveiling video as well on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ITnvVODHNI

My first layer was there most popular scent called "Angel's Embrace. I wanted to try it for three reasons, one, the description sounded good, two,  it's their most popular scent and three, My son's name is Angelus and we call him Angel, at least when he's good. Basically it's a Strawberry Vanilla scent, though she has a much more appetising description. It really did smell great it was my favorite. 

My next layer was Fruit Punch. It's a scent I had never tried in a candle and I thought it would mix well with the other two scents during burn. (Something I HIGHLY recommend you consider when you order a multi-level Candle. Remember that your middle scent will mix and mingle a bit with both the top and bottom layers so choose a scent that will be neutral to both scents or regret it. If all else fails? Vanilla is usually a safe bet smelling decent with almost all food scents AND a lot of florals) ANYWAY, lol, Her fruit punch is a mix of strawberry, apple and cherry, it smells just like my kids favorite Hawaiian Punch!

Finally, for my last scent I chose Black Raspberry Vanilla. This was another scent I have never tried and my fiancee wanted it. Normally I'm not crazy about Raspberry, I grew up on wild raspberries we would pick in the summer. I loved them but once I moved and had to buy them at a store it was never the same. I must say however, I really enjoyed it. The raspberry had a nice tartness and it cut the vanilla perfectly. 

All in all this was a lovely, haha punny, experience. I strongly recommend trying them out. The candle is worth the price three times over. Thanks for taking the time to read my review!
